I don’t know about you all, but to me, there’s just something about anything seesucker that just draws me in. Maybe its the texture… maybe its the pastel colors it comes in….maybe its the way that it screams summertime! Its a staple down here in Florida and when I found this seersucker jumpsuit, I knew I had to have it. Seersucker + jumpsuit…. seriously what could be better?!?! And during my trip to Charleston last month for our White Magnolia Manager’s Retreat, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to take this baby for a spin! Spring time in Charleston is absolute perfection. Perfect for exploring the beautiful southern architecture & relaxing with a delicious cocktail on an oversized front porch swing!
While in town, there was something special that I needed to pick up on my visit! A few months back, I attended a wedding industry network event at The Ritz in Amelia Island and was chatting with the most precious wedding planner who was from the Charleston area. She had on some of the most unique earrings I had ever seen…. they were gold palmetto bug dangles!! For this girl who is deathly terrified of palmetto bugs, I was TOTALLY into these!
She told me that they were from a family owned jewelry shop in Charleston just off King Street…. Croghans Jewel Box. As the story goes, the 100 year old jewelry store, which is home an array of treasures including antiques, fine jewelry, and gifts was loosing steam…. until The Gold Bug Collection was created! During our bike ride around town, I found my way to Croghans and picked up a pair! I love having these as a souvenir from our trip and love wearing them around town. I get so many people who ask me about them, so I wanted to share them with you!
We had such an amazing time while in Charleston and fully took advantage of everything the city has to offer. Working on another post to take you through our 48 hours in Charleston and all the fun things we did while there! I can’t wait to fill you all in and go back for another visit soon!!
